Velen hebben wel eens zitten mijmeren over hoe het zou zijn om met een groot orkest te mogen zingen, live en voor een groot publiek. Het plezier van musiceren in een dergelijke setting spreekt ook het Stedelijk Orkest Purmerend bijzonder aan. Vanuit deze gedachte is ZangTalent in 2012 ontstaan.
Een muzikale samenwerking tussen goede vocalisten uit de regio en ons orkest! Een wedstrijdelement is daarbij niet nodig: alle zangers en zangeressen zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit en samen met ons orkest wordt het een concert om alleen maar van te genieten. Genieten, maar wel op niveau!
